Jaguar Athletics Recognized with RRAC Awards

Jaguar Athletics earned significant Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) honors during the 2025-26 academic year, reflecting the department’s commitment to both competitive excellence and student-athlete well-being.  

Head Athletic Trainer Robert "Bobby" Ramirez was named the 2025-26 RRAC Athletic Trainer of the Year, an award recognizing outstanding commitment to student-athlete health and safety, excellence in sports medicine and service to the conference. Selected by a vote of his peers, Ramirez oversees the health, safety and performance of Jaguar student-athletes across multiple sports.  

The University also received the RRAC Sportsmanship Award for the third consecutive year. Voted on by conference athletic directors, the award honors the institution that best exemplifies teamwork, fair play, respect and integrity across its athletic programs.
