Foundation Support for Student Artists, Writers and Musicians

Students Holding Cover Illustatrions of Mosaic MagazineA $50,000 gift from the New York-based Edouard Foundation is creating new opportunities for students to explore their creativity and gain hands-on artistic experience.  

The gift supports three signature programs: the University's Visiting Writers Series, Mariachi Los Jaguares del Sur, and Mosaic, A&M-San Antonio's undergraduate literary and visual arts magazine.   

Student Singing Vocals for MariachiStudents will benefit from expanded opportunities to engage with accomplished authors through the Visiting Writers Series, led by Writer-in-Residence Laurie Ann Guerrero. Mosaic will continue showcasing student writing and artwork and will debut in print alongside its digital edition in Spring 2027. The investment in Mariachi Los Jaguares del Sur will help preserve and celebrate a rich cultural tradition while enhancing student performance opportunities.  

The Edouard Foundation supports programs that improve quality of life through education, the arts, healthcare, and community service.
